How will a $12.8 Billion bump in Transportation Revenue help the job market?


Bump, bump, thud…What is that… Oh just Driving in the Texas Streets! This will no longer be the case in the coming years according to State Comptroller’s Office. They are expected to receive $12.8 billion next year, which in comparison to this years $8.7 billion in revenue is a huge difference. How will “Machine Learning” change your life?


Machine learning has already impacted our lives greatly by making it easier but I can’t help but think of iRobot, where in which the machines learn that humans aren’t perfect and they try to correct it! All jokes aside machine learning is taking giant leaps.  We find it being used in Data Security, Personal Security, health care, fraud detection, marketing personalization and Natural Language Processing (NLP) which is the automated customer service agent. Machine learning is best known in online search engines like Google who watches how you react to a search.


Does having IT certifications really matter?

Well the answer is… it depends. Our recruiting experts agree that certifications all depend on experience level, skills, company and the role. If you are an entry level graduate looking for a new job, then certifications help your case more due to the lack of experience. On the flip side if you have lots of experience then your references and past work will speak volumes more than certifications. However, the best way to determine a good fit is to ask good technical questions in the interview to get to the bottom of the candidate’s knowledge.

There were drinks, live music, and plenty of casual networking.
